1. With Pool Running for the off Season
Keep residual chlorine count up to keep pool from turning green
Clean all probes or sensors
Change all injectors
Change all pump feed tubes
Add sequestering agent
Add algaecide
Check all skimmers on a regular schedule
Backwash filters if applicable or clean cartridges
Make sure all locks and gates are secure
2. Pool Off or Drained For Season
Make sure all relief valves are open and free of debris
Remove or drain all chemical lines
Remove all drain plugs from filter tanks and loosen access port
Remove all drain plugs from pump pot and volute
Make sure all plugs are removed from any heater system in place
Make sure all chemical injectors are removed, cleaned and stored
Make sure probes are stored WET, not dry
Turn off all controllers
Blow out all return lines to protect against freeze issues
If there is no hydrostatic valve in place now is a good time to install one
Turn off all breakers or freeze guard power switches to avoid activation
